End-point Assessors
There are several qualification routes available to you depending on your role.
1. The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in the Principles of End-point Assessment
This is a one unit, knowledge only Award suitable for those who wish to learn more about end-point assessment and/or who may wish to go on to become an End-point Assessor in the future.
It is an ideal unit for those wishing to up-skill their existing knowledge to equip them in supporting and preparing Apprentices for end-point assessment during their on-programme learning.
Entry requirements: No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before registering for this qualification.
Progression: Those who achieve the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Principles of End-point Assessment can progress to achieving the whole award once they have secured a suitable placement or employment. Those with previous assessment experience may be able to progress directly to employment as an End-point Assessor.
2. The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award for End-point Assessors
This is a two unit, competency-based Award that can be achieved while undertaking the role of an End-point assessor. This allows the development of skills in end-point assessment and is a nationally recognised level 3 qualification.
Entry requirements: No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before learners register for this qualification.
Progression: Learners who achieve the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award for End-point Assessors can progress to employment as an End-point Assessor in their specialist area. Learners may also progress to the Award in Education and Training (AET) or other assessor qualifications.
